Mr. Eugene Yakohene

Vice President, Ghana Evangelical Missions Association & Leader, Poineers Africa

Growing up in Accra, Ghana, Mr. Eugene Yakohene developed a deep passion for God and His people in His very early years. This was demonstrated by his active membership and leadership roles in Church youth and school Christian groups. Eugene met and got married to Djenabou in the early years of his missionary journey whiles serving in Guinea.

Together they have three (3) lovely children; a girl and two (2) boys. Eugene and Djenabou served as Pioneers team leaders in Guinea, where they led church planting ministry among the Balanta people, discipled students and trained church leaders.

In 2014, Eugene and Djenabou moved back to Accra to continue their service in Pioneers as Director of the Africa Mobilisation Base. The passion for the care of God’s people, to see them thrive and flourish in the faith walk and ministry calling is a key driving force in their work today. Eugene believes that everyone must hear the gospel they can understand and make an informed response.

He endeavours to lead with integrity of heart and skillful hands in order to inspire and mentor a next generation of Christian leaders in Africa to a whole hearted and diligent pursuit of God’s Kingdom on earth.
